HISTORY
BMS Heavy Cranes has for more than a decade been providing engineered solutions to heavy lifting challenges on a global scale. We have a unique worldwide network of specialists within this field, and most importantly colleagues who make the impossible possible. And our mission is simple:

In 2001, BMS bought Krangården from Holstebro, which was operated as an independent company under the BMS umbrella.
In 2016, BMS acquires the transport company Torben Rafn, together with
Vamdrup Special transport, who supplies their customers with cranes, jacking, skidding and transport services.
In 2004, the crane company Kranringen, owned by the Enggaard family from North Jutland, merged with BMS. With this, MT Højgaard and the Enggaards got a shared ownership of 50% each.
In addition, Krangården becomes part of the overall company, but the three brands are maintained.
BMS was founded in 1953, by the Danish Government, with the purpose of rebuilding Denmark after World War II.

BMS Heavy Cranes was founded, with the purpose of erecting wind turbines internationally.
In 2014, BMS buys Kruse Maskintransport, who are specialized in jacking, skidding and machinery transport.
In 2016, BMS acquires the transport company Torben Rafn, together with
Vamdrup Special transport, who supplies their customers with cranes, jacking, skidding and transport services.
In 2022, BMS Group was named the world’s 5th largest crane company, by the renowned magazine Cranes International and Specialized Transport, measured in tonnes meters.
